“Sustainability”, as we define it today, will not save the planet. Today, given the way we approach ‘green’ development, we assert that sustainability in the true sense of the term, does not stand a chance.
Locally, what we do for ‘green’ includes an industrially-driven, manufacturing-oriented, carbon-intensive, highly-polluting attempt at a superficial ’green’.

Swaraj is a non-profit that offers alternatives to these ‘Green Methods’. We believe that your Local Culture is inherently sustainable, and has evolved over thousands of years to a specific geo-climatic context, and continues to respect and take-care of the environment to date.
Over the last 10 years, we’ve curated immersive programmes and workshops that have taken thousands across generations on a journey; a journey to bust the myths of ‘modern’ sustainability, explore their Local Culture and chart a new path towards their green future.
