We are a group of professionals from backgrounds as diverse as architecture, law, engineering, arts & craft, and social work, and over several years we have set out to find the answers to some key questions:
How can we turn people around to revive faith in themselves and their local culture?
How can we alter the context of ‘development’ as we know it today?
How can we include ‘local’ in the education system in an experiential rather than epistemological manner ?
How can we revive faith in ‘traditional wisdom’ and the role of parents and grand-parents in formal education?
Most of all, how can we break-free from the hegemony of the English Language in the process of empowering ‘local’ in the course of our future?
