The promise of 5waraj is not just the fact that it is an engaging educational and learning experience that broadens one's perspectives - the promise of 5waraj is that it will generate a movement of leaders, young and old, across the globe that think about sustainability and the way we live in a completely different way.

The workshop inspired me to go back to my roots and learn from them, adapt them and take them forward. It willed me to change and to inspire my family to change.

Considering different sustainability firms for my career, the 5waraj workshop just washed away my mental dilemma and made things crystal clear for me. The presentation ended to give way to a long, deep silence which was so loud and profound that I could not miss it. For me it was the silence of emptiness, in the sense that how come we never realized the deep connection of our culture to sustainability and the meaning behind it?! It blew away all the misconceptions about sustainability, by just presenting us with what we already know but have never seen through the lens of ‘Swaraj’. BUT the ‘lens’ is what makes all the difference!

It gave me an understanding of the natural process and how it holds a deep significance to 'sustainable' living. How our current homogenizing, consumerist ways of life will not be the solution and doesn't necessarily hold the answers.

It was extremely fun. I saw a new perspective on Sustainability and how alternative methods of Renewable Energy are not the solution alone. The solution needs to come from within.

One interesting thing I liked or dwelled on is about how language changes our thought processes

It was an eye opener for me. I am one of those guys who believed that products from the west have more credibility.

I really felt the need to change what I was doing with relation to our environment. The things that were shared were practical and do able.
